Memo-rise.com was first born thanks to the love of Quran and Islam and thus the desire to please Allah عَزَّ وَجَلَّ . And what better way to please him than to read His words, understand Them, absorb Them, and of course implement Them?

We’ll tell you but it’s secret! Mainly a woman, a teacher, with a few educational background:

  • License in linguistic with a French specialization,

  • CAPEFLE : Certification in French As a Foreign Language

  • The study of diverse subjects in university : ethnology, history, sociology, psychology, … a bunch or words ending with -ogy !

  • The study of the Quran and Arabic in institutes in Egypt and Morocco,

  • The study of the famous Qaeedah Nuraniya in the United Kingdom, and of the English language of course !

  • Passionated by homeschooling.

  • and last but not least: a deep motivation, a thirst for knowledge and an insatiable need to pass it on.

Memo-rise it’s also many people hidden in the shadow : a benevolent husband, children and family who encourage, friends who advise. May Allah عَزَّ وَجَلَّ bless them all .

Here is the answer : memo-rise has big plans and does not intend to lose heart. The main goal is to help the Muslim community to get closer to the Book of Allah عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.

Ok, but how? Well by “any means necessary”, as long as it is based on the teachings of the Quran itself and the Sunnah of his Messenger ﷺ of course!

The idea is the following: offer to those who desire it, tools and solutions that will allow them to be in contact regularly with Alfurqan (the Qurran), and therefor acquire automatic reflexes and habits toward it. This will be done by means of :

  • informations given regularly on the website to extend knowledge around the Quran sciences;

  • encouragements and advices to help read and memorize the Words of Allah, 

  • e-book around a specific subject,

  • courses to memorize the verses,

  • and so much more…

Seeking for a word that could cover all the aims of this website, the idea of memorization, to refer to the memorization of the Quran, was the first which came to mind. But we didn’t want to limit the concept only to this. And since the site will be displayed in 2 languages, French and English, we also needed a word that made sense in both of them. That’s how the idea of memorize to “rise”, was born. Memorize the Words of Allah and rise up by acting upon them.

The reasons that motivated the opening of memo-rise.com

A sad statement

Experience and travels highlighted many self-evident facts:

  • Life in Europe does not leave room and time to dedicated to the memorization of The Quran;

  • Adapted structures like institutes, schools and mosques does exist mainly for children but are note organized to enable a real improvement for them nor for adults,

  • On-line courses, don’t always fit the majority’s aim for divers reasons such as impossible regularity, connexion problems, fees, Arabic speakers teachers only, …

the urge to learn and pass on

Learning and transmitting knowledge, is a big part of our daily routine for a long time, in many subject and for all ages: languages (Arabic, French, English), Scientific subject, art and craft, … and of course in the pole position; The Holy Quran. For us, dedicating a website to this subject was an obviousness.

Thus, the regular contact with students, the difficulties they encounter and especially the desire to support them in their learning of the Holy Quran and in the creation of a real relationship with the book of Allah, are the main facts that motivated the opening of this website.
